NewAgeDevs developed the Threads Video Downloader app as a free application. This SERVICE is provided by NewAgeDevs at no cost and is intended for use as it is.

This page informs you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Summary

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. The app does, however, transmit certain device identifiers to third-party services in order to deliver notifications, show content, and display advertising. Those are described below.

Information Collected Automatically

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device:

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — to deliver push notifications about new trending content, the app registers your device with Google and receives a messaging registration token. This token, together with a Firebase installation identifier, is transmitted to and stored by Google. It is not linked to your identity and we do not use it to contact you personally.
Cloud Firestore (Google) — the Trending feed is downloaded from our Firebase project. Making these requests transmits your device's IP address and a Firebase installation identifier to Google.
Advertising (AppLovin MAX and its mediation partners) — the free version of the app displays advertisements. Our advertising partners may collect your device's advertising identifier, device and network information, approximate (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, and advertising interaction data, and may share this information for advertising and measurement purposes. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies, linked below.
Google Play Services and Google Play Billing — used for app distribution, in-app review and update prompts, and to process optional in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google; we never receive or store your payment details.

Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else:

Your search and extraction history
Videos, photos, and audio you download, saved to your device's Downloads folder
Your saved or favourited files, recent creators, and which trending items you have watched
App settings such as theme and clipboard-detection preferences
Any session cookies created if you sign in to Threads or Instagram inside the app's built-in browser

Uninstalling the app removes this data. Cookies from the built-in browser can be cleared at any time from within the app.

Content You Download

When you paste a link or use the built-in browser, the app contacts Threads or Instagram (Meta) servers directly from your device to locate the media. We do not proxy, receive, store, or have any access to the content you download. Downloaded files are saved locally on your device only.

The Trending section shows a curated list of publicly available posts. It contains links and preview images only; we do not host the media itself, and opening an item fetches it from the original platform in the same way a link you paste yourself would.

Push Notifications

The app may send notifications about new trending content and app updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings for this app.

Cookies

Cookies are small files containing limited data that are frequently used as anonymous, unique identifiers. This Service does not itself use cookies to track you. However, the app's built-in browser stores cookies from websites you visit in the same way any browser does, and third-party libraries used by the app may set cookies to gather information and improve their services. Cookies stored by the built-in browser remain on your device and can be cleared from within the app.

Data Retention and Your Choices

Notifications and messaging token — revoked when you uninstall the app; you can also turn notifications off in system settings.
Advertising identifier — you can reset it or opt out of personalised advertising in your device's Google settings. Purchasing the ad-free upgrade removes advertising from the app.
On-device data — cleared by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

Security

We value your trust in using our Service and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites, and the built-in browser can be used to visit third-party websites. These sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.
